Sharon Van Etten recently announced the release of her third album, Tramp, due out February 7th. The album has been described as containing “as much striking rock as pious, minimal beauty; it can be as emotionally combative as it can sultry.”
Van Etten, who has collaborated with the likes of Beirut, Ed Askew, Julianna Barwick, Justin Vernon and Megafaun, will kick off her tour alongside The National on December 13th in New York. The tour will also include a stop at the Cedar Cultural Center on February 18th.
The Dum Dum Girls will make their television debut Thursday, December 1st on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. They’ll be performing their single, “Bedroom Eyes.” Watch the music video right here, or learn more about the band.
Canadian twin-sister duo Tegan and Sara are set to release a collection of…wait for it…three films AND a live album. The project, entitled Get Along, will be released November 15th.

The Punk Singer, an upcoming documentary by Sini Anderson, will be released…as soon as there’s enough money to finish it. Anderson recently began a campaign to raise $44,000 for editing, with additional donations going to color correction and sound mixing.
The film tells the story of Kathleen Hanna, a “seminal radical activist, musician, and cultural icon” who is credited as a founder of Third Wave Feminism and Riot Grrrl.

Tori Amos’ new all-acoustic ‘Night of Hunters,’ was released September 20th. The album, which was hailed by Spin as “a wildly imaginative ride full of orchestral fireworks and fairy-tale melodrama” borrows from the classics in order to create what Amos herself calls “an ongoing, modern love story.”
Her North American tour begins November 29th in Atlanta.
